We bought this cover as well. Unless you clean the liquid up IMMEDIATELY, this blanket will leak. After you wash it, it becomes even more useless. Our cats pee on the bed occasionally, and it happens in the middle of the night usually. Well, you don’t always notice the accident until it’s too late and the urine gets on the bedding.
I wish these reviews would be more clear about defining what waterproof means. This demonstration even shows how quickly liquid can penetrate this blanket. Who stands by the bed with a towel in hand waiting for a spill?
This blanket might be ok for pet hair and dirt, but it’s useless for pet accidents/water, etc…
Short of a outdoor tarp (which I’ve used), I’ve seen nothing that is waterproof.
Ours works really well. No leaks but our cat pees a lot on it because she’s a savanna. Going to try the good car shammy’s , the kind that soaps up water,then ispry it with soap and wipe it clean. We feel washing it too much might make it leak
